I've never watched a Twilight movie, and I'm confident I never will. But I don't need to have seen one to know that this was an utterly poor casting choice. The movie has Charlize Theron, Ian McShane, & Chris Hemsworth (Thor). The first two are great actors, that should go without arguing, and I wasn't disappointed with Chris' performance in Thor one bit, but I wouldn't call him a great actor yet. So with that supporting cast don't you think you would want your main fucking character to be just as good, if not better!? How about Gemma Arterton, who is not only more beautiful than Charlize (this matters when talking about Snow White), but is also a much better actor than Kristen StoneFace.
I don't know the exact reason why they chose her (although I can think of a few), bur frankly it doesn't matter why. What matters is that this movie could have been great; but now it is limited by the emotional range of a poor casting choice. Sigh. Get your shit together Hollywood.
